Biltmore™, America’s Largest Home® is located in picturesque Asheville, North Carolina. Built between
1889-1895, it is known for its relaxed elegance and exceptional treasures, including original art from masters such as Pierre-August Renoir and John Singer Sargent. The painting’s antique frames with their intricate details, aged patina and rich finishes, served as the inspiration for the Biltmore™ Collection by Larson-Juhl®.

Much like Biltmore, Larson-Juhl is rich in history. Lira, Larson-Juhl’s factory in the Czech Republic, was founded in 1881 and produced classic picture frame moulding at the time Biltmore was being built. Recently, after searching through Lira’s archives, historic patterns were discovered which contributed to the inspiration of the Biltmore Collection by Larson-Juhl.

Larson-Juhl designers had the opportunity to enjoy a behind the scenes visit of George W. Vanderbilt’s home and its vast art collection. It was this intimate tour that inspired the Biltmore™ Collection by Larson-Juhl.®
