Modern Masters offers its Metallic Paint as an elegant alternative to ordinary latex paint solutions. It's simple: just substitute ordinary latex paint with one of the beautiful shimmering metallic paints. You need neither artistic talent nor special skills to transform your project from ordinary to extraordinary .

Modern Masters also offers a Venetian Plaster that results in amazing finishes. Modern Masters® Venetian Plaster™ is a tintable acrylic plaster finishing system that can develop a beautiful, highly polished appearance. The applicator can control the sheen level of the finish by simply sanding and burnishing the plaster. Various looks can be created such as polished marble, stone and suede.

Modern Masters® combined the ancient art of patinization with modern-day paint technology to create Metal Effects® Decorative Painting System. This complete finishing system is designed to create a variety of beautiful oxidized metal finishes on any paintable surface.

The revolutionary Acid Blocking Primer is a unique water base, acrylic primer designed to block the Metal Effects® Patina Aging Solutions & Activators from reaching the metal or wood surface chosen as a substrate.

Other primers cannot be used because they allow the Patina Aging Solutions & Activators to penetrate through to the substrate. This will disrupt the desired patina color and damage the finish by bringing either rust or tannic acids to the surface. Acid Blocking Primer can be applied using a brush, roller or spray equipment and is suitable for interior/exterior surfaces.

Metal Effects® Reactive Metallic Paints are water base and contain real metal particles. These paints will tarnish naturally over time and when exposed to the elements

Metal Effects® Patina Aging Solutions & Activators will speed up the oxidation process to create beautiful, authentic Patina, Baroque and Rusted Iron finishes on any paintable surface. Reactive Metallic Paints can be applied using a brush, roller or spray equipment and is suitable for interior/exterior surfaces.

Metal Effects® Permacoat is a clear, water base sealer that protects the metallic paint surfaces that have been oxidized with the Metal Effects® Patina Aging Solutions & Activators.

Permacoat forms a film over the highly acidic surfaces. It will prevent further oxidation and limit color change without cracking or yellowing. Permacoat can be applied using a brush, roller or spray equipment and is suitable for interior surfaces. For extra durability and exterior surfaces use Modern Masters® MasterClear® over Permacoat.

Metal Effects® Patina Aging Solutions & Activators are water base acidic solutions that are applied to the Metal Effects® Reactive Metallic Paints. They will react with the real metal particles in the paints, thus speeding up the oxidation process.

The Green, Blue or Black Patina Aging Solutions can be applied to Metal Effects® Copper, Harvest Gold, Pale Gold, Rich Gold or Bronze Metallic Paints. These paint and patina combinations will create a beautiful, authentic Green, Blue or Black Patina. The Baroque Activator is applied to Metal Effects® Baroque Metallic Paint. This combination will create a unique, real two-tone Copper/Silver finish imitating the finishes seen in the Baroque Period. The Rust Activator is applied to the Metal Effects® Iron Paint. This combination will create a real weathered rust finish.

Patina Aging Solutions and Rust Activator can be applied using a brush, sea sponge or spray by attaching the Metal Effects® Spritzer Cap directly to the bottle. Baroque Activator can be applied using a brush or sea sponge (cannot be spray applied). Complete application instructions are inside Reactive Metallic Paint lid. Suitable for interior/exterior surfaces.

Venetian Plaster is a tintable acrylic plaster finishing system that can develop a beautiful, highly polished appearance. The applicator can control the sheen level of the finish by simply sanding and burnishing the plaster. Various looks can be created such as polished marble, stone and suede.

A trowel-applied architectural coating that produces beautiful Shimmering Stone Effects with Luminous Undertones without burnishing or sanding! Create more than 90 hues of color using 15 ShimmerStone Color Concentrates and a single tintable base.

This water base product turns ordinary latex paint into a translucent, durable colored glaze with one hour "open time." Used primarily for "negative" broken color/wall glazing techniques such as: Frottage, Ragging, Dragging/Strié, Sponging, Colorwashing and any other glazing technique where more "open time" is needed to execute the effect.

The convenient 5-quart container allows for the addition of 1 quart of any color of flat latex paint. Just pour, stir, apply and manipulate. Multiple layers can be applied without removing the previous layer of cured glaze. Extender can also be added to Tintable Glaze and Varnishes for longer "open time." Clean up with soap and water.
